How it works

From a question to a working model.

Stay in Excel while the analyst brings the deal context to the spreadsheet work.

  1. 01

    Link your workbook

Open the CorpDev.AI pane, sign in and choose a workspace. Link the workbook to a platform document so its chat and spreadsheet work have a shared home.

  2. 02

    Ask in plain English

Select a range to give the analyst context. Ask it to use your data room, research or pipeline, then build or update the workbook.

  3. 03

    Review in Excel

Supported changes apply directly to the open workbook. Read the change summary, check the output and use undo or a retained version in History to go back.

Built around deal work

Give it the next task on your desk.

Be specific about the source, the cells and the result you want. These are example requests to adapt to your workbook.

01 / Target screening

Put the evidence beside the numbers.

“Fill revenue and EBITDA for these targets from the data room. Add the source document and flag anything you cannot verify.”

Build a target comparison with gaps visible for follow-up.

02 / Valuation

Test the assumptions behind the deal.

“Add a sensitivity table below this DCF using the model’s formulas. Show discount rates from 8–12% and terminal growth from 1–3%.”

Explore how the valuation changes with your assumptions.

03 / Comparable companies

Make the comps easier to challenge.

“Update the comps using the figures in the CIM. Separate reported results from management estimates and identify missing inputs.”

Keep the basis of comparison clear as the analysis develops.

04 / Model review

Turn model checks into a review list.

“Look for hard-coded values inside formula ranges. List each finding and its cell address on a Review sheet without changing the existing sheets.”

Create a focused checklist for the analyst reviewing the model.

Connected data

Bring it in. Keep it current. Send it back.

Use the pane’s data actions for repeatable work with lists, pipelines and company information.

Pull

Start with workspace data.

Bring a list, a pipeline, company records or AI Room search results into an Excel Table. Pull a pipeline by stage when you only need part of the deal funnel.

Refresh

Update a linked table.

Fetch changes from the table’s source workspace. Keep a repeatable connection between the platform data and your Excel analysis.

Push rows

Return work to the team.

Map selected columns to fields in a list or pipeline. Choose the destination and stage, then follow the import’s progress as a resumable job.

AI Fill

Ask one question across rows.

Run an AI column over a table to research or enrich each row. Review the credit estimate before starting the job.

Available actions follow your workspace role. Linked tables retain their source workspace.

Review and access

Keep the deal context.
Keep a way back.

The workbook stays connected to its workspace, with visible changes and retained versions to review.

Explore platform security

A workspace linked to the workbook

Choose the workspace deliberately. Sharing the file does not grant its recipient access to your workspace; they need their own authorized account.

Changes you can inspect

The pane reports applied changes and unsupported items. If your edits overlap with the analyst’s changes, a notice offers to restore your values.

History with revert

Review up to 20 retained versions. Reverting creates a new version. Excel’s native undo is also available, with the number of steps depending on your Excel build and the size of the changes.

Sign in with your own account

The pane uses your CorpDev.AI sign-in and workspace permissions. Workbook links identify the connected document; they do not replace authentication.

Get started

Bring your first workbook.

We can walk through installation, workspace access and a task from your own deal workflow.

  1. Arrange installation

Contact our team for the current add-in deployment instructions. Your Microsoft 365 admin may need to enable or distribute it for your organization.

  2. Sign in and choose your workspace

Open the CorpDev.AI pane in Excel. Use an account with access to the workspace containing your deal material, then link the workbook.

  3. Start with a specific request

Select a range and ask for a model check, a financial update or a comparison. Review the result before using it in your deal work.

Before you open the workbook

Which versions of Excel can I use?

Use Excel for Windows, Mac or the web. Available features depend on your Excel build. On the web, workbook export uses values and formulas, so the analyst has less formatting context than on desktop. iPad has a limited experience; use desktop or web for the full workflow.

What happens to formatting, charts and pivots?

The add-in applies supported changes into the open workbook. Some workbook objects cannot be transferred through every Excel host. The pane reports unsupported items; review those notices when working with complex models.

How large can my workbook be?

The analyst’s workbook upload is capped at 15 MB. Larger exports are refused with a message. Workbook complexity and the amount of data being changed also affect processing and apply time.

Can I undo a change?

Use Excel’s native undo for applied changes. Supported Excel builds can group changes, while larger or multi-part updates may require more than one undo step. History also lets you revert to one of the workbook’s retained versions.

How are AI actions charged?

Analyst work uses platform credits. AI Fill shows an estimate before you start. Review your workspace’s balance in the pane and platform pricing for account options.
